Suggestion Merge Duplicate items

Would like a function to search for duplicate items with the option to merge items.

Or at least the ability to select items that are duplicates and merge them manually.

Part of the problem is when I register at a website, a login is created in 1Password. When I log into a website, another login is created in 1Password.

One way to avoid this situation is to configure 1Password to prompt you for a name when it automatically saves a login item. That way, you can decide whether to create a new one or replace an existing one.

That's not to say that this wouldn't be a cool feature, but I don't know if/when we can implement something like this. Thanks for the feedback! I'm going to move this thread to the feature request forum.

Yes, I have 1Password configured like this.

It works beautifully when the dialog box pops up because it allows me to delete.

However, sometimes the dialog box does not pop up, instead a view bar? slides down from the top. This does not allow me to update an item, only create a new item... hence the duplicates.

The "update" option only appears when you use 1Password to help you fill a change password form:

A registration form and a login form are completely different, so the only options are to create a new item or replace the existing one. I understand where you're coming from, and we'll see what we can do to improve this process in the future. Thanks!
