Is 1P still supporting OmniWeb?

I have Snow Leopard and 1P 3.8.5

    Hi Macrina,

At the moment we don't have a Lion compatible plugin for OmniWeb. We may be able to produce one in the future, but currently our focus is making "the big three" (Chrome, Safari, and Firefox -- in no particular order) happy.

    Thanks!

    Ben
  • Well Ben, I don't need a Lion plugin; I should have added above that I won't be upgrading from Snow Leopard for some time. So, do you have an OmniWeb plugin compatible for Snow Leopard?

Certainly! But unfortunately you'd have to sacrifice support for Safari 5.1 and Firefox 6. OmniWeb was last supported in 3.5 I believe.
  • OK , I understand now. Thank you! I think I'll still get Omni, just for backup, and when I need to, I can do a copy and paste from 1P's app.
  • Hey there, Macrina! I just wanted to clarify since Ben mentioned it: 1Password 3.8.7 (just released yesterday) still supports OmniWeb on Snow Leopard. Just launch 1Password and go to Preferences > Browsers, and check "Enable additional browser extensions" to install it. I hope this helps! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
  • Brenty, thanks for adding this information. I'm one of those who is going to hang onto Snow Leopard until something forces me to upgrade to Lion. Based on what you've said, I think I'll go ahead and download Omni.

Some additional information about the future of OmniWeb support can be found in a post from Ken Case from The Omni Group:

    Just FYI.
