Two 1P buttons in the Safari toolbar…

Junior Member
One of the 1P buttons does not work and will go away if I turn off the 1P Safari extension. The other 1P button works but I think is the older plug-in.

I had to restore this iMac using a Time Machine backup which is when this problem surfaced. I run Snow Leopard and have updated all Apple software and the 1Password application. I do run Safari in 32 bit mode for Dish Network Sling Adapter compatibility. 1Password is my only Safari extension.

I've looked for an old 1Password plug-in but can't find it to remove.

Any ideas?

  • Hey there, MtnBkr! Welcome to the forums! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I am sorry for the trouble. It sounds like you may have multiple (incompatible, even) 1Password extensions installed in Safari. Could you please send us a Diagnostics Report? You can generate one in 1Password on your Mac by going to Help > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics Report... Just attach this to an email (support@agilebits.com), and be sure to include any other details or screenshots you can as it will help us understand the problem better. Also send me a private message here with the email address you used to email it so that I can find it right away and take a look at this for you. We will get this working for you! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Thank you for responding. It turns out that Apple's Software Update Program somehow missed the fact that I had an older Safari (5.0.5) installed rather than the up-to-date version 5.1. Apple's Software Update Program reported that all software was up to date, and I only found the problem when I looked at the Safari version manually. When I installed the most modern Safari and reinstalled the 1P extension, the 1P button/program started working just fine.
  • Hello MtnBkr,

Thank you for updating the thread with your findings. I'm glad that the issue is resolved.

    Cheers!
